My Creative Boy

My little buddy. This boy is as creative as they come. They had some teachers submit names for the Gifted and Talented Program at their new school. Liam was one of them. His teacher who submitted the name said she knew he would be the right fit when she gave the kids an assignment to write a story for writing. While most kids were writing a page or two. Liam kept going on up for more paper. He ended up with 10 very detailed pages of a very adventurous story. His story took all the time for the time alotted for the class to read out loud. But it was a hit. His drawings are full of imagination. Layla likes exacts. She wants instructions to perfect, lists to mark off, she is also very creative but in a much different way, she is just like her Dad. Liam is like me. All those things seem way to limiting. He wants wings to fly. He is pretty care free. He catches on to things very easy but we are working on his attention to detail. He is very efficient but with that comes a bit of a mess and forgetfulness. We are working on remembering to hand in assignments and keep his back pack and desk organized. Also just like his Mom :) He is very loving and understanding of people. I have had several of his teachers point out that he is very aware of other students and when they may feel left out or sad. He is always the one to go up smiling and be their friend. He has a very calming effect for those around him and his heart aches when he feels like people might be being mean. We are working on not taking things so personally. He loves his sisters and will make for the perfect big brother. Along with all of this he has figured out how to be a pretty good tease to his sisters. Something that seems necessary to go along with the big brother roll. Thanks Liam for being my pea in the pod. Josh has always been able to relate to Layla and to understand her way of thinking. Liam, I just get you. We think very alike. Im grateful we have Layla and you Dad to help us organize our lives of play and adventure. I also love that you love trying food. I finally have a buddy to enjoy one of my favorites things with. You are one special boy ready to love the world. Don't let anyone hold you back. Do good with all the good you have been given. You make me smile every day! I love you my sweet boy!!!
