Funny but maybe not...
Every Monday we get together as a family and have, "Family Home Evening". We spend the evening as a family. We do a lesson from church, eat a treat, and do an activity. Well for the lesson this week we were talking about Jesus and the resurection. At the level of a two year old. As we explained Jesus getting nailed on a cross Liam got really excited and said, "Maybe when I'm 3 I can be nailed on a cross?". We said "No Liam you dont want to be nailed to the cross it gives you ouchies," He then said, "Can I maybe when I am 5?"... Ohh dear.
Corn Belly's
Hi Layla

The huge balloon

Liam loved this. You should of seen me chase him across it when it was time to go... Actually I'm happy you didn't

Snow Cone

Layla loves Cotton Candy (the large amount she ate may of had something to do with the melt downs later)

Liam got chosen to place a bet on the pig. He chose Huckleberry Ham and his pig won!

Waiting with Austin and Layla for the races to begin

Best Friends

The prize for guessing the correct pig!

A cute cow train

The inside of the moster was a bit scarey. I wouldn't take me kids through it again... We used an emergency exit :)

We went to Corn Belly's with our good friends the Byers. Liam and Austin really are the best of friends. Sadly, we went during nap time and Liam fell and hit his face on the corner of the slide the first 5 minutes. Which resulted in several melt downs etc. It still was a ton of fun.

Prama Holly and The Pirate Resturant
My cute Mom with my Cute kids. Love your new haircut Mom!

Yes, we cheated and helped... Anyone who knew me growing up knows how seriously my sisters and I took our "hot shot"

Liam enjoying the ride

Layla trying to decide if she enjoys the ride...

We went to Pirate Island with Prama Holly. Life doesn't get much better then that for Liam. His two favorite things.

This and That
Layla is going to be an actress. She is very dramatic. Very happy or very mad. No inbetween. She loves to point but has a lot of expression when she does it. She say's "OHHHHHHH"!

How big is baby?

Liam had a balloon man make him a shark. Not surprised..

Layla wearing her pigtails/horns. Occasionally we try the troll look and do just one

Here are some fun pictures of our kids, no special event just being cute:)

Soap Box and Creepy People
There are way to many creepy people out there. I keep hearing awful stories about poeple finding things on blogs etc... A good idea to keep you and other people safe is to log onto your blog, go to settings, then basics and make sure you have no selected under the question that asks if you want to allow search engines to find your blog. It is a good way to keep you and your family and friends on your blog list safe. Better safe then sorry.
Also, don't text and drive. I have heard several AWFUL stories lately. I was so mad the other day when I saw someone on the freeway driving while texting. Josh and I have decided to not talk on our phone as well. I know we are uptight. I saw a special the other day that you are 4 times more likely to be killed by someone using a cell phone then by a drunk driver. AHHHH I am guilty of using my cell phone while driving but not anymore :) I am so greatful for the laws being passed.

Conference Weekend
Please excuse my man pose...

I know this is an awful picture we had so few I had to post it. You get the idea...

I LOVED conference weekend. It was fabulous. The talks were wonderful. I wish EVERYONE across the world would tune in. You can't help but listen and become a better person. I love the talk on temperance but honestly I LOVED them all. I can't wait to have the talks and read them. I was very disappointed when I got home from our trip to St. George and found out all the talks had not recorded on T-Vo. I am thinking football was put as a priority. I practiced temperance and think I handled it pretty well :)
We were able to go to St. George and meet up with my April, Vicente the twins and my Dad came as well. It was a perfect weekend. The best part was the night just my Dad, April and I went out to eat. OHHHH my gosh that was the most fun I have had in soooo long. Thanks Dad for everything. Dad you are the greatest dad and Grandpa. I admire the person you are and all that you have done with your life. You have helped so many. You are the smartest, most giving person I know. I love your optimistic look on life. April thanks for making the long drive so we could see you and the twins. The twins are ANGELS!!! They are so sweet. You are a mini dad in the making. You two have sooo much in common. I love you all, I love the church, I love our leaders. I am so blessed to have the family I have and the gospel in my life. It hasn't taken away the trials we face but it has lessend the load tremendously, I never am confused and I am blessed with a constant comfort that everything will be ok. The Gospel is true, the priesthood is real, our church leaders are WONDERFUL people called of God guiding us in the correct direction. They stand firm in what we beleive. They seek truth and righetousness. They are honest, sincere, kind people standing strong in what we believe. They have a love and tolerence for EVERYONE no matter what their beliefs or choices are. I can’t imagine my life with out the knowledge I have. Everything just makes sense (it is as simple as that). I am truly blessed.
I posted a link to the right where you can listen to some talks. You can never go wrong with any of the talks. It is worth your time if you haven't had the chance to hear conference. Enjoy!

Pumpkin Patch 2009
We held our tradition of visiting the pumpkin patch to pick this year's pumpkins. It was so fun and we were able to have Motorcycle Papa come with us. Layla loved the wagon and Liam loved helping to cut our pumpkins. Both our kids are doing great. Layla is very close to walking. She is so darling and when she is feeling well she gives you the cutest smile. She loves to snuggle and smile. She is very bubbly and loves to try everything Liam is doing. Liam is a blast. He now knows all his letters and sounds. Yes, sounds. I love the letter factory. He loves to learn. He would sit and focus on learning all day if we had time. He is learning to write his name and does quite well considering he is 2. It often gets spelled MLIA, AILM, etc. We know the letters but aren't grasping the idea that they go in a certain order. He is so sweet when he is with our family. Loves to sing. At church his teachers always comment on how well he sings. I am sure he takes it very serious and is very loud. Sooo cute. I know I am bragging, sorry if I offend. I am a proud Mommy and this is my way to share and journal all the talents my wonderful kids have. As do all children. They are such amazing little people. We all should be more child like.
