Liv Anne Perriton

Our sweet Liv joined our family on November 4, 2015. She is perfectly perfect. The missing piece of our puzzle. She completes us.
The night prior i kept waking up with some small cramping. It was nothing severe and nothing unbearable. Just enough to keep me up ALL NIGHT LONG. I woke up in the morning and it was the same. I then wondered, do I go into to my work out class in hopes of helping this stop or making it into the real deal? I was exhausted, so i opted out of going (thank goodness). I decided to call my Dr. (I didn't want to do this, I was able to go my whole pregnancy with out bugging him) to see if he had any idea. Unfortunately and luckily he was out of town. He suggested I go to labor and delivery to get checked. I felt like an idiot. This is my fourth. I don't need to go into labor and delivery just to be told they are braxton hicks and to go home. But, as I called my friend Amanda to get her thoughts the contractions continued, but weren't getting stronger or closer together. I decided to text my Mom and see if she would want to go in with me. I would go if I could make it back in time to pick up Londyn from preschool. She didn't respond right away so I decided I wouldn't go and wasn't going to bug her. About 45 minutes later she text me back saying she had missed my text and thought we should go in. She came over to pick me up. Asked if I had a bag and I said there would be no need. So I grabbed my purse and off we went. She asked if she could drop me off at the front. I said, no need once again. Although I was still cramping I was expecting to be hunched over in pain. We went up to labor and delivery, checked in and they started monitoring. I had been up all night and had only dilated one cementer from my last appointment. Bummer. I couldn't move this slow for dilation and function another night with out sleep. They did watch me for an hour I almost did another cementer but at that point was just under a five. They called my Dr. to see if they should pull the trigger and get things moving along. Or send me home and see if the contractions stop or let me dilate at home until I was further along. Because once i get past a 6 my labor goes abnormally quick and our sweet Livs heart rate was slowing down with each contraction he agreed to have them keep me. I wanted a epidural before they started anything. Which, i later regretted. Josh walked in from work.  Nervous but calm, ready and excited. Crossing his arms rocking back and forth as he does with each child (i love that image). Wanting to make sure everything was taken care of. We have gotten older, we have experienced this before. We are more mature, we have grown in so many ways. It was a comfort to have him there. They gave me the epidural and instantly I had a horrible headache, got super tired and nauseous. I went to lay down as they went to get something to bring up my blood pressure which had dropped to 70/30, right then my water broke on its own. Just that moving around for the epidural caused it to break. Thank goodness I didn't go to my work out class. A few minutes later the Dr. came in to break my water. We informed him it had broke on its own. He decided to check me and since my water had broke I was already to almost an 8. He said he better run and change. He did just that, came back and I was at a 10. Josh went to his spot we have found to be perfect. Up by the head of the bed where he quietly sits and waits. Telling me it will be ok. Then, 30 minutes after they decided to keep me I was pushing. They had me push sweet Liv between contractions because her heart rate was dropping. A few minutes later our sweet and precious Liv was here. Nothing can describe that moment. I say this with every child, but nothing compares to that feeling when you see your baby for the first time. The pains of pregnancy over, the intense pushing done. You wait to hear that precious scream. You see your baby safely here. Nothing can ever compare to that intense emotion. Instantly, your heart finds a spot for the child. The spot is bigger then your heart it self. Suddenly, you can't picture your life with out this precious spirit. You would do anything for them. As you hold them the tears of joy start. How can something so precious and so perfect be mine, be ours. Straight from heaven and trusted in my care. I will try my best, sweet Liv. I am far from perfect but I will do all that I can. Count on grace to make up the rest. You have blessed our life in a way that can't be put into words. I know you will be our last, I couldn't think of a more calm and sweet baby to have. I was pretty nervous about having four when we found out I was expecting you. I had a lot of mixed emotions. Now it makes perfect sense. Heavenly Father knows me better then I know I myself. You are here, right where you are supposed to be. You have felt our home with love. Thank you my sweet baby. I love you more then I can put into words. Your truly are perfect.

Right In Time

Getting rid of Londyns pacifier has been quite the task. We have tried several times for long stretches. One time over two months. It never was worth the lack of sleep and so the pacifier was returned. I honestly gave up on the idea and figured we didn't care that she stilled had it. We needed our sanity! Well a miracle happened literally two days before Liv arrived. Londyn was shopping in Costco and saw this monkey baby. She begged me for it. I said not until she gets rid of her pacifier and if she will sleep with out it I will come and get it. That night all on her own she gave it up. She did wake up during the night asking for her monkey. I reminded her no one was at Costco and she has to wait until morning. Just like that it was gone. A miracle! I thought I would have to ween her and the baby at the same time in a few years.

Halloween 2015

Let the candy bartering begin

We had our Besties Danny and Denise down for Halloween. It was a blast as always. The kids were able to go trick or treating with some of the cousins from Danny's side and it was the perfect evening. We all had a fun night together.

The Originals In Wyoming

Josh has the opportunity to be with just his siblings for the first time in our marriage. I am SO grateful he had this opportunity. Although it is fantastic to have spouses and kids around there is something special about every once in a while having it be what my sisters and I call the "originals". The point of the trip was for his sweet Moms 70th birthday party which was a complete surprise. As a Mom I can't imagine what it would be like to have all seven of your children from across the country surprise you with a party. After talking to her since it is very clear it meant the world to her to have just her children there for the surprise. They could just focus on each other. It was a success.
Knowing this was a much needed trip for Josh I was still a little nervous about having him go. It had nothing to do with him going with out me but the fact that I was a few weeks away from having a baby, Londyn had been sick, I was exhausted and my babies always come early. The feeling of nerves went away once I realized how important this memory may be and it may never happen again. I decided if he was gone I was taking it easy. My dear friend Lezlee who had the same due date as me also had a husband away so we had fun at the Arcade, I kept cooking easy and we ate out quite a bit. It all worked out but I reached my max when I started to get sick with what Londyn had and we were ready for Dads return. He came home a day later than planned which I'm grateful for now that the time has passed. He needed time with the orginals 😉

Golf

My Dad has gotten Liam into golf. I am so grateful he did. Liam LOVES it and it is the perfect fit for him. Thanks for the golf gear Grandpa. It will be used!!!

Soccer Star

We had a blast watching our tough and determined Layla play soccer this year. She rocked it! Go Layla!!!

Pregnant Night

I may have been a little manipulative in a recent FHE. I was about to pop and felt like the kids were asking a lot of a pregnant Mama. I had them spend the evening cleaning the toy room like this. Although we were all laughing pretty hard the whole time, something did click. They suddenly had a little sympathy which helped me make it through my last part of pregnancy.

Literal Layla

Layla is very matter of fact. Everything is very literal. She thought this sign was pretty funny.

Animal Lover

Layla absolutely LOVES animals and they love her. I was just like her as a kid. It is safe to say I might have outgrown it a bit after having kids and realizing my sinuses and cats are a bad combo. It brings out the most tender side in Layla and she knows how to be very gentle with them.

Texas (out of order)

Here is what happens when you get so behind on blogging. Thing become extremely out of order.
Over the fourth we went and visited April and her sweet family in Houston. We had a BLAST!!! Great food, they have some of the best behaved
children (keep in mind there are six) I have ever been around, and I got to meet my nephew Seth. He is honestly the most darling and unique baby I have ever seen.
We went to a beach and my kids haven't stopped talking about it. Now I am DIEING to take them to a fancy one.
Stayed up way to late watching Survivor reruns. We had some pretty good one liners. It was hilarious.
April and Kyle took us to a very fun restaurant where we also had some good laughs.
It's safe to say the trip was a complete success. Very uplifting and fun.
April has come and visited us throughout our marriage multiple times. We went to AZ once but other then that, we haven't been able to. It was a much needed trip and we CAN NOT wait to go again!!!

April has some more pictures I need to get from her. Hence the delay. For now this will have to do.

Layla's Talk

Our Church asked Layla to give a brief talk in the Primary Program this year (which is when all the children get up and sing the songs they have learned etc). We average around 600 people on Sunday. It is HUGE. Layla was so brave and did a wonderful job. Here is the talk she helped me write. It was beautiful,

Jesus is my Savior and Redeemer. I know he is my Savior because he suffered for my sins, sadness and pain in the garden in Gethsemane. That means he said, “Don’t punish them, punish me” because of that he knows how I feel when I am sad or feel bad. I can always pray to him and he will forgive me and bring me comfort. He can redeem me from my sadness.
One time, I was having a very grumpy evening. I wasn’t being as kind to my family as I like to be. I had a warning from my Dad but kept being a little naughty. So my parents told me when we got home, one of my favorite Beanie Boo Toys would have to go in garbage because of my poor choices. I was very sad and even mad. My big brother Liam loves Poke mon like I love beanie boos. When we got home my Dad told me to go and get my Beanie Boo. Liam then walked up and said to my Dad, “Can I please give you my favorite Pokémon card and you throw that away instead of the Beanie Boo.” I felt so grateful for my brother. I cried and hugged him. I told him, “He shouldn’t have to do that it was my choice” but he loves me so much that he insisted that he give up his card so I can keep my beanie boo. That night we as a family talked about Jesus and how he is my savior and redeemer. My brother may not always be there to save me. But I know that Jesus can always help me with my troubles and he will always be there for me no matter how big or small my problem is. He loves me more then I can understand. I am so grateful for this.
In the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

Hands Free Cake

We had a left over frozen cake from a church activity. It had been moved around and wasn't in the greatest of shapes. We were about to toss it but I had the idea to have the kids have a cake eating contest where they couldn't use their hands. Lindsay and her kids came down from Eagle Mountain. It was pretty funny!!!

Sunday Picture... Good Luck!

This about sums up our life. I don't know what to do with the constant chaos. I don't know what I would do with out it.
