Happy Valentines Day

I never thought I would be busy enough to forget a holiday, especially one which most likely involves me getting a gift! Here is my excuse, we got back late Monday night, Tuesday I was busy with laundry, and yesterday we put on a shower for my sister. After the party someone had asked what we were doing for Valentines day. WHOOPS!!! Go figure, Liam had 4 shots early this morning and we have been taking it easy the rest of the day. Josh and I were able to go to lunch at one of my favorites, Tucanos...
My point of this post is to share with everyone what a wonderful husband I have. He works so hard for our little family. His work isn't self-centered at all. It is all for Liam and I. He comes home after a 12 hour day and will play with Liam, give him his bath and put him to bed. If I ask, he will always help, if Liam is having a rough night. He never fails to tell me how proud he is of me as Liam's mom. The thing I admire about him more than anything is the fact that he is always trying to be a better person. Throughout our marriage he has become a better husband. When I see him interact with Liam I know with all my heart I married the right man. He has always been a strong person with great values and has always made such a great choices.
We have hit bumps along the way. Neither of us is perfect. The wonderful thing about marriage is if you stick to it and have the right foundation you will only improve. Making us both better people, more in love, and the best part of it all is becoming more dependent on one another. I can't picture my life without him. I love having pillow talk, laughing together, growing together spiritually, and best of all parenting together. We joke around that we finally have something in common, Liam. Josh is a wonderful son, Father, brother, friend and Husband. I am so grateful to know we are a eternal family and nothing will ever separate us.

We're Back!

We just got back from the Cruise and had so much fun! Our favorite part was a place Xel-ha in Mexico. We wished we had more time. It was BEAUTIFUL and we had so much to do. My favorite part on the ship was eating dinner and visiting. We included some pictures of where we ate. The ship included a basketball court, rock wall, putt-putt, several places to eat, shopping, pools, hot tubs, ice skating, theatre, and much more. We hope to go again.
We really missed Liam. It was so hard to be away from him. I was just as excited to get home to see him, as I was to go on the trip (if not more)! We are back together again and it will be a long time before we split up. Grandma and Grandpa Knight did a great job with him. I know he had a ton of fun.

Vacation Time

As many as you know we are leaving on cruise tomorrow! It should be fun but this is my first time away from Liam. I have spent a couple hours away from him a few times but never more than that and never over night! This just makes me realize how blessed I am to stay at home with him. I am so grateful for a husband who understands why it is important for me and supports the decision 100%. I have the greatest husband and son. I am so sad to leave him but know he is in good hands with his Grandma and Grandpa watching him. We will miss you so much Liam. We love you!

President Gordon B. Hinckley

As many of you know the president of the Mormon church passed away today. I feel so grateful to have been able to have him as a prophet in our day. I know he was a man called of God to give us modern day revelation. He was a wonderful man and I was always so eager to hear him speak. I attended a General Conference for our church in October of 2004 with Josh while we were dating. I will never forget the feeling that came over me when he entered the room. I will never deny that feeling of truth and reverence. The talked he gave that day has stuck with me deeper than any other talk I have heard. It was titled, "The Women in Our Lives" if you have the chance the link is to the right, read it. I think the talk reflects what kind of man the Prophet was, the type of person we should all strive to be.
The heavens are rejoicing and I can't imagine how happy he is to be with his wife once again. I am so grateful for the guidance he has given me in my life. He made the world a better place.

Winter Time

Liam is just like his Dad and never notices the cold. He would stay outside all day if he could regardless of the weather. I promise he has a pair of mittens. He is always very sad when the time comes to go inside and warm up. Perhaps this all has something to do with his new word, "Cool". I have looked everywhere for snow boots but everywhere is sold out! I was a little late but I will be on top of it next year Liam, I promise!

A New Year

The New Year is a great way to have a fresh start. I figure maybe if I post some of these goals I will be more likely to keep them considering many who read the blog see or talk to me often and can check up on me. My top five goals are as follows, first, I would like to control my sweet tooth! I wish I could say no more sweets (actually I did to start off) but that isn't going to happen. It is all about having balance, right? I will not purchase sweets but if it is a birthday, holiday or a dessert from someone else I will have it in moderation. I have been able to do it thus far and my sweet tooth has started to die down. Secondly, become more fit. I need to do something dealing with exercise 3 times a week. Between a gym membership, video, and spring/summer weather this should be possible. Third, do something weekly to show Josh how much I appreciate him. Next, I would like to keep on learning. Many of you will be shocked to hear me say this but I miss school. I will choose a topic and read about it every week (right now it is politics). Finally, I will be more organized with keeping the house clean. I do it but it has no order! It always seems rushed or last minute. I am open to any suggestions with this last goal. I really need help.
I would love to hear your goals as well. If you see your name to the right under friends and family I tag you to share some of your goals for 2008!
