Thanksgiving Perriton Clan

I was lucky enough to host Thanksgiving this year. Many wouldn't consider that lucky but I live for this type of stuff. Not to mention everyone was so helpful. We had a wonderful time with all of our family. It couldn't of gone more smooth. We absolutely treasured our time with Grandma and Grandpa. They stayed with us. It is the first time we have spent a few days with them and all three of our kids. Usually we just see them for a brief time and it almost always is with other people (which is also fun), but it was nice to have this one on one time with them where they were able to see the kids in their environment. It really did mean the world to us and I know these are memories that will last a lifetime. This Thanksgiving was a great reminder for me of the importance of family. It is important to treasure those relationships, work on them and enjoy them. Family will always be by your side. Thank you to everyone for making the effort to come down. I hope it was as wonderful for you as it was for me.

This sums up Londyn's Thanksgiving, poor girl still wasn't feeling a 100% after her surgery

One of my favorite memories from Thanksgiving was Grandpa with his Grandkids. He is so patient and took such good care of Londyn when she was hurting. It is safe to say the kids LOVE their Grandpa!

Surgery

Pre Op
After 8 ear infections (most of which were double) since Febuary, Londyn finally had tubes put in her ears and her adenoids removed. It was one day after I got back from Georgia and the day before thanksgiving. We had Grandma and Grandpa come in later that day. Safe to say we had a lot going on but she was tough! Her brother and sister were so worried about her and took even better care of her then they normally do. She has felt so much better since. She started talking really loud, basically yelling (which sounds even louder when we are at church) the Doctor said this was normal because her hearing has been muffled for so long, now everything is sounding much louder to her, resulting in her talking in a loud voice. It is cute. He said it was a good choice we decided to remove her adenoids. Hers were very large and encrypted. I hope my sweet baby will find some relief.

Georgia

We had an absolutely wonderful time in Georgia visiting family. Layla was able to come with my Dad and I. The trip couldn't of gone more smoothly. Great Grandma Jean and I enjoyed visiting. We now have our own little book club. Aunt Wendy has been someone I have always enjoyed being around. We both love to talk, shop, and have fun. I fell in love with Georgia and she certainly I had something to do with that :) Wes and I may go some time with out seeing each other but with out fail, we always start off where we left off and it is hilarious. I'm still laughing at some of one liners we came up with. Carrie came down from Kentucky. She is so kind, loving, wise and sincere. Family is important and I am grateful mine is full of such wonderful people. This picture is priceless
Apparently it's in the blood to sit like this when in "deep thought"

Wes and I are convinced after seeing a few pictures one of my legs is much longer then the other 😉

Just like old times
The whole clan!

Layla Date

We have started a new tradition of taking the kids out on a date with just them on their birthday. They also get to choose their birthday present. They choose where we go, they get to order whatever they want and they get all the attention they would ever want from Mom and Dad. It is so fun seeing their little personalities in this setting. They are so giddy they whole time but by the end, they can't wait to get home and tell their siblings all about it. They get the best of both worlds!

Layla Turns 6

Layla had her Birthday a few weeks back. It was a frozen themed family party. She went swimming earlier in the day with her Dad and Brother while I stayed back with Londyn (who of course had an ear infection). The Bell's were able to meet up with them at the pool (we LOVE having them close). Just like always, it snowed the first snow of the season on her Birthday. Grandma Holly made a wonderful cake. It was a nice and relaxing night!

 Layla Dee,
You are growing up so fast. You are full of personality and drive. You love animals, you love to sing, you love to play piano (you also LOVE spending that time with Grandma Holly), You are so sweet when you play with your baby sister. You talk to her with such a patient and loving voice. You are your brothers best friend and know how to hang with all the "older boys". You love being with family. You are a very loyal friend. You prefer small groups over large. You absolutely love to bake and cook with me, even though you still refuse to eat most everything :) You have done so well in Kindergarten. You always like to have someone near you. You have better focus then most adults. You are so smart and you work hard at learning and trying new things. I have always admired you focus and drive in life. I wish i could have just a sliver of your will power. I love watching you pray. You are so sincere in the things you say. Never lose that. It will help you through out your life. You are such an exceptional little girl my sweet Layla. You have such a wonderful future in front of you. Always use the talents you have been given for good. Surround yourself by good people and good things. You wont ever regret that. Always remember I will always love you. I will always be here for you no matter what. I want the best for you and hope I can do an decent job in leading you in that direction. I have never meant someone with such potential. You truly are special and i get to call you my daughter. Love you sweet girl, for always and forever!
Love,
Mom
