Halloween

We had a blast over Halloween. Mainly because of our visitors. Can I just say, Danny and Denise are the most selfless, down to earth, fun people we know. Their kids are nothing but pleasant and being around them always leaves me a better person. Love you guys and I can never thank you enough for all of your help!  Denise BBBF (Best Bosom Buddies Foreva) 😘

The Y

I LOVE quality time as a family. It is safe to say that happens less and less with building our new house, landscaping and Josh's obsession with getting projects done. I was able to pull him away and we hiked the Y. The kids were tired but are still talking about it. I am proud of them for doing hard things. I feel like hiking is hard but once you get there the reward is great. I had a extremely good work out carrying Londyn on my back up and down. I LOVED it!

Oregon

I got another one of my wild hairs and decided to pack up the kids for fall break and drive to Oregon (10 hours) all by myself. Anyone who has been in the car with Londyn understands what a risk this is for my sanity. It went well and we got to play at Auntie Colette's and Tara's. We had fun seeing Tara's new town and one of my dearest memories was the kids playing Piano with Cecilia while everyone sang Frozen songs. I wish I would of got more pictures but my phone wouldn't charge,
We also had fun making our first cousin movie. Unfortunately April wasn't there to help direct (she is usually the ring leader with these things). I need to figure out how to get it from YouTube on to here.

Soccer

Layla loved her first season of soccer. Her best friend and her were on the same team. It was fun to watch her determination. I have no doubt this girl will exceed at anything she puts her mind to. If she wants to excel she will focus until she can. Love her. She is already asking when the next season will be.
Josh was kind enough to coach again this year and did a wonderful job! Unfortunately that means I have a crazy toddler on the sideline which means I didn't really get to see much. Liam had fun playing with one of his best friends from school and several boys from our ward.

Friends, Family and Palm Trees

We have a joke involving ridiculous selfies. The point of this one is #lovetoseethetemple but a majority of the pic is of us making a fake face. Maybe you had to be there but I thought this was pretty funny.
Some couldn't bare the heat but not me!

Yup all three things in one place! It was a blast. One of the most fun nights we have had in a long time is when my Dad babysat and we all went out for Thai Food and Custard. Lots of laughs, good food, a witty waiter. It was a night to remember.

Perriton Reunion

I am always amazed every time I am with the Perritons with their strength and how valiant all of them are. I love many of Josh's cousins as though they are my own. We have some pretty awesome Aunties and Uncles in his family. I love the tiny family I came from. No joke my Dads family would have a total of 4 people plus my family and My Mom would have a total of 7 plus mine. That would include all Aunties, Uncles, Grandparents and cousins. I love the quant but I also love the huge. The reunion was unforgettable. Lots of ultimate frisbee, fun games, visiting and a overwhelming feeling of The importance of family.

School Year Begins

I have a second grader and a Kindergardener! They love school. Layla does so well with a schedule. Although I feel like half day Kindergarden is a bit of a waste. Since they are my sweet kids and this is our family blog I am going to take the time to brag about my smarty pants kids. Also because school was always such a challenge for me I am proud of them. At the same time, I am so grateful now that I can see how much time my Mom had to put into me to just do ok. These kids have it come natural. Homework time is a breeze for me as a Mom and parent teacher conferences. At parent teacher confrence both kids are testing over a grade level ahead in every area. Liam has an incredible memory (like Dad) and Layla is a math wiz and has taught herself how to read. I kid you not. I haven't worked with her. I feel blessed as a Mom and am so grateful they can have the confidence in school that I always struggled with. They do work hard and are extremely responsible. They are certainly eager to learn. Love you two!

Cousin Overload

We kicked off July by going to visit Summer and Jared for the 4th. It was a blast. I really enjoyed going to the temple with Summer. It was a really neat experience for me.

We had over five weeks this summer of cousin fun and it goes with out saying Wells girls fun. I love my sisters and their kiddos. There is nothing like the comfort of being with your own family (we call it "the originals")!
Bare back diaper rides

Riding bareback in your swim suit with your bestie (this pretty much sums up my childhood)
Lots of eating out. Way to go April (she purposely took a giant bite right as I was going to take the picture)

April was kind enough to show us around her second home BYU campus. We tried to convince the kids she lived in the library because she was so poor. Some were believers.
