Soccer
Layla loved her first season of soccer. Her best friend and her were on the same team. It was fun to watch her determination. I have no doubt this girl will exceed at anything she puts her mind to. If she wants to excel she will focus until she can. Love her. She is already asking when the next season will be.
Friends, Family and Palm Trees
We have a joke involving ridiculous selfies. The point of this one is #lovetoseethetemple but a majority of the pic is of us making a fake face. Maybe you had to be there but I thought this was pretty funny.
Some couldn't bare the heat but not me!Perriton Reunion
I am always amazed every time I am with the Perritons with their strength and how valiant all of them are. I love many of Josh's cousins as though they are my own. We have some pretty awesome Aunties and Uncles in his family. I love the tiny family I came from. No joke my Dads family would have a total of 4 people plus my family and My Mom would have a total of 7 plus mine. That would include all Aunties, Uncles, Grandparents and cousins. I love the quant but I also love the huge. The reunion was unforgettable. Lots of ultimate frisbee, fun games, visiting and a overwhelming feeling of The importance of family.

School Year Begins
I have a second grader and a Kindergardener! They love school. Layla does so well with a schedule. Although I feel like half day Kindergarden is a bit of a waste. Since they are my sweet kids and this is our family blog I am going to take the time to brag about my smarty pants kids. Also because school was always such a challenge for me I am proud of them. At the same time, I am so grateful now that I can see how much time my Mom had to put into me to just do ok. These kids have it come natural. Homework time is a breeze for me as a Mom and parent teacher conferences. At parent teacher confrence both kids are testing over a grade level ahead in every area. Liam has an incredible memory (like Dad) and Layla is a math wiz and has taught herself how to read. I kid you not. I haven't worked with her. I feel blessed as a Mom and am so grateful they can have the confidence in school that I always struggled with. They do work hard and are extremely responsible. They are certainly eager to learn. Love you two!

Cousin Overload
We kicked off July by going to visit Summer and Jared for the 4th. It was a blast. I really enjoyed going to the temple with Summer. It was a really neat experience for me.
We had over five weeks this summer of cousin fun and it goes with out saying Wells girls fun. I love my sisters and their kiddos. There is nothing like the comfort of being with your own family (we call it "the originals")!

Riding bareback in your swim suit with your bestie (this pretty much sums up my childhood)
Lots of eating out. Way to go April (she purposely took a giant bite right as I was going to take the picture)

April was kind enough to show us around her second home BYU campus. We tried to convince the kids she lived in the library because she was so poor. Some were believers.

A Little Bit Of This A Little Bit Of That
Just like that, summer is almost over. It was full of fun, it was full or sun, it was full of to many outdoor projects, it was full if adventures, and full of memories! Here are a few...
A long hard hike to the hot pods but it was worth it!
A long hard hike to the hot pods but it was worth it!
Londyn loving seeing pictures of herself
A few days we could sneak into the new reservoir before the no trespassing sign was posted
Bike rides
Carnivals
Lots of Grandmas house. Which means lots of love and good food. These are just a few of our adventures. I would be lieing if I didn't say our summer fun wasn't also filled with lots if teasing and tantrums. With that has come a lot growth as parents and determination to be good examples. The good certainly out weighed the bad but being a Mom and wife is a lot of work. There is no greater work out there then parenthood. I also believe there is nothing more humbling, selfless, hard, and that creates such growth then trying to have a healthy family life and relationship. I can see why families are central to our Heavenly Fathers plan. We need each other to learn from, to encourage, to help. I love my family and children. I hope to be better at showing it.
